  1. Short sturdy jacket traditionally made of leather, with a fitted waist, zippered in the front, often with a fleece or pile collar. Designed inspired by the jackets worn by flight crew members in WW1, and most popularly used in the 1940s & 1950s.

Roaming around NYC, I found myself noticing quite a lot of bomber jackets this fall and winter. Some made from traditional leather to more modern satin and shimmery fabrics; these jackets were definitely a staple for the season and I'm so happy they're back. I'm quite a fan of denim bomber jackets that made a quick comeback sometime in the 90s (I own some Vintage ones myself), so happy to see the trend bring them back in a whole new light.
